Return and exchange policy

If you are not completely satisfied with the items you have purchased or wish to exchange your purchase, simply return the unused item to us in its original condition and packaging within 30 days of your purchase and we will exchange it or refund you under certain conditions (see below).

All products can be returned to the store, whether they were purchased locally or online.

Returns are free at all times if returned in store.

Returns by post are only possible if the products were purchased online.

Final sale

The following items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable both online and in store: our yard stored products, Prospector tent, used military products, fabrics and straps sold by the meter, socks, underwear, base layers, items that have been altered or washed, masks and face coverings, personal protective products, cayenne pepper, fuel (combustible), smoke grenade, Airsoft guns, Paintball markers, Airguns, food, gift cards and items ordered on special request. Other exceptions may apply.

Return period

  • For any return or exchange, online or in store, you have 30 days following your purchase to return the unused item to us in its original condition and packaging.
  • Please keep your paper or electronic invoice as proof of purchase to enforce product warranties.

Return conditions

  • Paper or electronic invoices with the date of purchase of the items and/or the Internet order form, the price tags still attached to the item and/or the original packaging are required for any exchange or refund.
  • All products you wish to return or exchange must not have been worn, altered or used; they must therefore be returned to us in new condition, except in the case of a manufacturing defect (see the « Manufacturing guarantees » section). We cannot accept returns of merchandise in used or unsaleable condition. At all times, we reserve the right to refuse any return or exchange.
  • Any refunds will be issued to the same method of payment as the original purchase.

Manufacturing guarantees

  • For any manufacturing defect, almost all of our products are covered by Prefair, Imrico Ltd. with a 30-day warranty following their purchase. During this period, we will replace, repair or refund the product containing a manufacturing defect, or replace it with an equivalent product.
  • Note, however, that the following three exceptions are not covered by any legal warranty against manufacturing defects and are therefore purchased as final sale from Prefair, Imrico Ltd: our yard stored products, used military products and fabrics and straps sold per meter.
  • Beyond our initial 30-day period, the manufacturer's warranty may apply when offered by the manufacturer. From one manufacturer to another, the extended warranty time frame may vary.
  • No warranties cover abuse, normal use, accidental breakage or misuse of a product.
  • For any manufacturing defect, the paper or electronic invoice as well as the original packaging of the item will be necessary at all times in order to assert the product warranty.
  • If you make an exchange or refund request online for a manufacturing defect, you must also provide us by email with a photo of the entire defective item, a targeted photo of the problem on the product (where applicable) and a photo of the product label. Once we have received your request, we will then contact you to let you know the details of your claim and the procedures to follow in relation to it.

Return of products purchased online

  • The value of postal returns must be a minimum of $25.00 CAD before taxes to be accepted.
  • Returns by mail: A return fee of $12.00 + taxes per shipment applies regardless of where you are in Canada. However, additional charges may apply in the case of the return of an oversized item or from a remote area. Return costs are non-refundable.
  • It is not possible to exchange goods online. You will first have to return it to obtain a refund, then place a new order containing the desired product.
  • If a product purchased online is returned in store, the refund will still be made online within 3-7 business days to the same card used for the original purchase.
  • Items returned by mail will be refunded within 3-7 business days of receipt at our facilities.
  • Order online with the « Pick up in store » option: Return or exchange in store only, the same day of pickup or within 30 days of the date of purchase.
  • If you want to return an item by mail or in store, but you made your transaction by paying with a Prefair gift card, we will reimburse you by giving you a new Prefair gift card corresponding to the amount of your return. In this case, if you make your return by mail, we will return this gift card by mail to the original delivery address and we will cover the shipping costs.

Conditions for a return by mail to be accepted :

The product and its original packaging must be adequately packed in a box or bag made expressly for shipping. For example, a pair of boots cannot be returned only in the shoe box. This shoe box must itself be placed in a shipping bag.

  • In the event that the original packaging of the product has been damaged by the customer, costs may be required or the return refused.
  • A return coupon will be included in the package we send to you to facilitate any return request.
  • The return label cannot be affixed directly to the product or its original packaging, but only to the shipping box or bag.

To obtain all the information concerning the conditions which apply for a return or an exchange to be accepted, the deadlines required for a return or an exchange, as well as to know the products classified as "Final sale", refer to the relevant paragraphs above.

How do I return by post?

  • Start by putting the product back in its original packaging. Then, drop it in an undamaged shipping box or bag and make sure it's well sealed. In any case, it is necessary to ensure that the product is well protected.
  • Apply the return coupon to the original shipping label on the original shipping bag or box (if undamaged). If you did not receive a return coupon in our mailing, contact us at [email protected] to let us know.
  • Then go to the Canada Post branch closest to you so that they can take charge of your package.
  • As mentioned above, items returned by mail will be refunded to you within 3 to 7 business days of receipt at our facilities.

Return of products purchased in store

  • Items purchased in store cannot be returned online.
  • To return or exchange a product purchased in store, go to the cash registers located near the entrance of our store and an employee will check with the department concerned by your return to see if it is eligible for an exchange or a refund. We will refund you using the same method of payment used when you purchased the product.
  • In the event that the original packaging of the product has been damaged by the customer, fees may be charged or the return refused.
  • If you wish to return an item purchased in store, but you completed your transaction using a Prefair Gift Card, we will refund you with a new Prefair Gift Card for the amount of your return.
